We’re extremely happy to announce that Gov’t Mule’s Island Exodus III will once again be taking place at the Breezes Grand Resort in Negril, Jamaica January 13th-17th (4 nights) 2012. Everyone who joined us this past January knows this is a can’t miss event...it truly was a magical experience. Days were spent on the beach or enjoying all of the activities the resort has to offer and nights were spent under the stars with Gov’t Mule.

ANOTHER ONE FOR WOODY
On September 21 2000, following the passing of Allen Woody, a founding member of Gov't Mule and longtime Allman Brothers Band bass player, many of his friends and musical heroes came together to celebrate his life at a historic concert at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. "One For Woody" was a landmark event that lives on as a cherished memory for all those who were in attendance. On November 22nd 2010 at Roseland, "Another One For Woody" will feature sets by The Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and The North Mississippi Allstars Duo (Luther and Cody Dickinson) along with many special guests who were touched by Allen's friendship, music and memory. Like the original concert, "Another One For Woody" all net proceeds will go to a cause near to Allen's heart. This 10th Anniversary event will raise money for musical education in schools.

MOUNTAIN JAM ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce Allison Krauss %26 Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas to the Mountain Jam line-up. We are thrilled to have them in attendence as part of our Sunday night line-up right before the 70th Birthday Celebration for Levon Helm, which will be filled with Special Guests. Having recently collaborated onstage at the world famous Apollo Theater, the ever soulful Ray LaMontagne will bring his raspy voice and guitar to Levon Helm’s set. Hardcore troubadour Steve Earle, having appeared already at Levon’s Midnight Ramble, will travel to Mountain Jam for the first time as part of the drummer’s birthday bash, while noted singer/songwriter Jackie Greene, a two-time Mountain Jam veteran, will also join in the celebration. Following a a one year absence last year, The Tradition Continues Friday April 30, 2010 when Gov't Mule returns to New Orleans and plays the gorgeous Mahalia Jackson Theatre across from The French Quarter. As the first theatre to reopen since Hurricane Katrina, The Mahalia Jackson recalls the vibe, beauty and spirit of The Saenger Theatre and The Orpheum, two of the band's (and fans') favorite venues and sites of truly memorable shows. ALLMAN BROTHERS @ THE UNITED PALACE IN NYC
In what has become a rite of passage and annual destination for fans of the Allman Brothers Band, the iconic and revered group will return to New York City in March 2010 for a lengthy residency beginning March 11, with eight shows confirmed (March 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20), just as they have since 1989. 2010 marks a change of venue for the Rock %26 Roll Hall of Fame group: they’re taking their act uptown to the 3200-capacity United Palace Theatre (formerly known as the 175th Street Theatre) in lieu of the Beacon Theatre which is unable to host the ABB due to a 2010 scheduling conflict. LES PAUL RIP - A MESSAGE FROM WARREN
Today we lost a giant in the world of music and recording. Although we have lost way too many heroes/icons in recent months I am compelled to speak out in honor of Les Paul whom I knew (a little), played with once, and obviously respected and revered.

Les was the Jimi Hendrix of his time and although his heyday was way before my time, as a student of music, I would learn a lot about his monumental contributions as a guitarist and as an innovator of multi-track recording. Like Hendrix he changed the world for every guitarist who came after him whether they knew it or not.

Being a guitarist known mostly for playing "Les Paul" guitars I was approached several years ago by my friends at Gibson Guitars about helping to design and launch a Signature Les Paul guitar. My initial response was "I'm not Les Paul. There's nothing different or special about my guitars that I can take credit for-all the credit goes to him." It took years for me to finally feel that I (along with Brian Farmer, John Cutler, and Peter Miller) had come up with a unique design worthy of taking some credit for.

After hearing of Les' passing I feel even more honored to be considered/asked to help carry on the tradition of the Les Paul guitar. I am even more honored to have known him. He was truly a giant. - Sincerely, Warren Haynes

TEMPLE OF THE MULE NEW YEARS SHOWS NOW ON MULETRACKS
The shows from The Temple of The Mule New Years Eve run are now live and available for download from www.muletracks.com. Both Acoustic shows from the Angel Orensanz (12.27 and 12.28), both shows from the Hammerstein Ballroom (12.30 and The Seattle tinged 12.31) and even the set by Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk (on 12.30) are all available. Buy them all together and save 10 percent. It was an amazing week of music, and it is all captured right here.

WARREN TO TOUR WITH THE DEAD IN APRIL '09
We are please to announce that Warren Haynes will once again be touring with The Dead when they hit the road this April. Check out The Warren Haynes Tour Dates Page to see the dates. A pre-sale for all shows will begin January 13th at www.dead.net.

We would like the remind you that the setlists from this weekends Acoustic Mule shows at the Angel Orensanz Foundation are posted in the From The Road section of mule.net. The MuleTracks for these, and the Hammerstein Ballroom shows, should all be posted on Friday for download at www.muletracks.com.

AUSTIN PRE-SALE DELAYED
The pre-sale for Stubbs in Austin on 2.06 will be delayed. Info on when it will officially start will be posted here as soon as possible. Houston, Dallas and Aspen will go on as planned.

TEXAS PRE-SALES
Pre-sales for the Feb 6th (Austin), Feb 7th (Houston) %26 Feb 8th (Dallas) Gov't Mule/Disco Biscuits shows in Texas will all begin Tuesday December 23rd at Noon CENTRAL Time through Mule Ticketing. Also at Noon MOUNTAIN time, tickets for Feb 15th in Aspen, CO will be available also through Mule Ticketing.

MULE AT BELLY UP/TEXAS MULE SHOWS
Tickets will be available for the February 15th Gov't Mule show at The Belly Up in Aspen, CO on Monday at Noon via the Venue Box Office. There will be a limited number tickets available starting Tuesday 12.23 at Noon through Mule Ticketing. Check the site on Monday as we will have info on the start of pre-sales for the three Texas shows (Austin, Houston and Dallas) that we will be performing with the Disco Biscuits.
